So this suggestion does come from me breaking resize but would be an interesting feature. The idea is I resize an image to be huge, say 160x160, to make a large area like a city. Then when I am done building this massive image it is too big to export so I resize the master image into sections (tiles) and export those smaller images.
This is very useful to keep a set of close together maps consistent and to get a better overview compared to jumping between maps to make sure they are consistent.

What would you request be? You can already do with with the resize feature. You can enable a grid to snap the resize selection to the grid as well.

Philipp Oh forgive me I guess it would be helpful to describe the feature. Perhaps an automated way to just click one button and starting top left, ending bottom right to render out tiles of a given dimension without having to resize, create an entirely new map, save the new map, export the new map then swap back to the original and repeat.
